global MISSIONS

Our vision is to be one church in seven cities boldly representing the heart and kingdom of God with global impact.

The Yancey's

Central Ecuador Missions

Chris and Madeline Yancey (pictured here with Gloria, Levi, and Luke) are missionaries serving in Central Ecuador. They are serving alongside the PESCA foundation (A Project of Evangelism and Social Work Covering the Amazon Region) to help train Ecuadorians to reach their neighbors for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Chris and Madeline serve alongside local missionaries, pastors, and churches to help raise up the next generation of Ecuadorian Christian leaders through church planting, pastoral training, evangelism, community development, and camp ministry. We began partnering with the Yancey's in 2022 when we took our first team to Ecuador.

The Cabrera's

CHR Global Missions Directors

Amber and Steven Cabrera have led our Global Missions Team since 2022. They joined CHR in 2017 and have been involved in missions ever since. They lead our local missions in the Harbour North Community until 2021 when God gave them the vision for Global Missions. CHR has sent a team every year starting in 2022 to Central Ecuador and every trip there are "God moments" which truly change the team member's lives. We believe in reaching our hometown (Hampton Roads) and then reaching the world - modeling
Jesus' Great Commission.

The Castillo's

Lima Peru

We support Pastors Samuel and Nelly Castillo,
the Lead Pastors of Point of Grace in Lima, Peru.
Their church's mission is to be:
"a church serving it's local community."
Pastor Samuel was a Bible College Student of
Dr. Ken Brown (Pastor Joel's father) in the 80's.
Due to that long time connection, we are honored
to support them and all they do in Lima.
