Be a part of the personal and spiritual growth of the CHR Kids ministry and team members by creating an atmosphere where kids can experience God, respond to the Holy Spirit and connect with others through fun activities and games, devotions, and other events.

General Guidelines

  • Lead by example
  • Commit to consistent attendance to provide logistical and spiritual oversight to your team members
  • Place a high priority on being present weekly in the life of the church unless time off requests have been submitted
  • Pray for your team and foster spiritual growth as you lead.
  • Trust God with your money by tithing
  • Maintain presence in Connect Groups / Lead Connect Groups
  • Attend Staff Meetings on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month so that as a leader you can contribute to the direction of CHR and provide information to your team as needed
  • Attend Morning Prayer 8:30am Sundays 
  • Arrive on time to attend dream team rally 9:30am
  • Attend weekday Prayer/Worship events
  • Coordinate team-building training (2) times a year - once in January and once in June emphasizing team goals and promoting church culture. (CHR Values, Mission, Vision)
  •  Additionally, provide a minimum of (2) opportunities for the team to hangout together building camaraderie and encouragement to new team members
  • Identify members who could be future leaders and work with your Dream Team Director to begin training them. This helps us be ready as God continues to grow our church and our team
  • Provide feedback on opportunities where we can strive to provide better service to our team or our guests
  • Maintain ministry budget and be accountable for all expenditures
  • Coordinators should wear the provided ministry lanyard at all times. Part of creating a comfortable environment is being easily recognizable to our guests.

Ministry Guidelines

  • Build a strong team for CHR Kids by adding new people to the team through conversation and connections, ensuring background checks are completed before they serve in the classroom
  • Schedule team members for Services using Planning Center Online (PCO) a minimum of three (3) weeks out and following up with team members that remain unconfirmed (Teams include: Beeline, Straightline, Kids Check-In and Rover)
  • Schedule team members for Encounter using Planning Center Online (PCO) a minimum of three (3) months out and following up with team members that remain unconfirmed (Teams include: Beeline, Straightline, Kids Check-In and Rover)
  • Add new team members to PCO; ensure team members understand the scheduling process and how to use PCO
  • Ensure new team members are properly “oriented” to the team by seasoned members (new team members should not be scheduled as a regular member until they have been properly trained)
  • Ensure the DNA of the ministry is maintained through observation and constructive feedback
  • Plan and coordinate at least 4 large group events annually (once a quarter)
  • Plan and execute events; turn in event and graphics requests forms 12 weeks prior to event
  • Teach a Minimum of three (3) times a  a month in CHR Kids rooms to maintain a connection with the kids and staff as well as a pulse on the curriculum.  ** The frequency of this will change as the team develops
  • Designs and implements creative, energetic stage sets for the Straightline classroom
  • Assist with Childcare needs as needed for special events and classes
  • Work with the Connect Groups director to help find childcare for groups, as needed
  • Print and organize CHR Kids curriculum
  • Keep Planning Center Groups active, post weekly (for example, the week’s Bible verse and any news) to encourage students through the week, no less than twice per month
  • Remain in regular contact/communication with Dream Team Director and members of the team, updating teams as necessary

Prerequisites

  • Sign membership covenant form
  • Have attended CHR for at least six (6) months
  • Be able to serve for at least (one) 1 year once in position
  • Completed or plan to complete Foundations within one (1) year of taking the position
  • Commits to a life of sobriety
